About West Bay Boats

Passionate about our heritage, West Bay Boats, a family-run business is now training members of their fourth generation. We are proud to be carrying on in the tradition of boat building, an industry which was established in our area many years ago.

Building our first boat in 1985 (a 31’ designed after a classic Downeast lobster boat) seems like a lifetime ago now as we look back over those years of building many boats! However, most recently we have added a new model, a 37’boat. It too is a traditional built-down, semi displacement hull; designed by Spencer Lincoln, with further refinements made by Mark Fitzgerald of the former “Paine Yacht Designs”.

Both of our models have undergone modifications to the underbody thereby allowing for an increase in speed and performance. Their soft chine makes for a soft entry at the bow thus dispersing the agitated water laterally and leaving a clean path of water to the propeller and lessening the cavitations which would otherwise be felt in the steering. All of that translates to: a comfortable handling boat, easy to maintain, a smooth and quiet ride, a fast and an economically friendly vessel to use.

We invite you to become a member of our WBB’S Boating Family by becoming a proud owner of a West Bay Boat of your own and to share in the experience of a lifetime along with our many other happy owners.
