About Downeast Peapods

Downeast Peapods are traditionally built, double-ended rowing boats. They first served as lobsterboats along the coast because of their exceptional seaworthiness. Today, they are used mostly recreationally and are a joy to row.

Downeast peapods can easily accommodate 4 adults, are 13'8" long, 4'6" wide. They are still built in Brooklin, Maine, in the Jim Steele tradition.
